ERP Assessments

An ERP assessment is a process improvement activity offered by Opticca (www.opticca.com) generally engaged by customers to provide a reality check on the functionality of their ERP system, but often offering a broader operational procedure review.  With this kind of audit, incremental improvements can be identified which can be implemented quickly with a very high return on investment.  These can include immediate training activities, procedure definitions, introduction of simple reports or uncovering unused reports.

Once the Gap Audit is complete, Creative will provide the customer with our Gap Audit Report and suggested projects which can be engaged for process improvement.  The projects defined by creative will include rough cut estimates of size, along with a fairly well defined scope.  These rough cut estimates are for budgetary purposes.  If the customer wishes, a full project scope definition can be created (at a small additional cost) and a quotation with a fixed cap can be provided.

Rough Estimate

The cost of a Gap Audit varies depending on the depth which the auditor engages in.  An Audit will sometimes involve only one individual and will sometimes involve 2 or even 3 where there is a great deal of information required.  Gap Audits for Manufacturing and for Financial are usually done separately, by completely different staff.

For budgetary purposes - you should budget for roughly the following number of analyst hours.  Roughly half these hours are spent visiting the site, and half writing the report of findings.

Elite analysts are the best for a Gap Audit.

Up to 20 concurrent ERP users - 10 to 20 hours.
Up to 40 concurrent ERP users - 20 to 30 hours
Each additional 10 users - 3 to 5 additional hours
